Scream is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics. She is one of the five symbiotes forcibly spawned from the Venom Symbiote.
Her first appearance was in Venom: Lethal Protector #4 (1993). Scream's initial host was Donna Diego, a volunteer security guard at the Life Foundation.
The Life Foundation sought to create super-powered guardians to protect their interests after a potential nuclear holocaust. To that end they extracted five symbiote seeds from Venom, birthing Scream, Riot, Lasher, Agony, and Phage.
